Welcome to Less Traveled Photography!
My name is Dan Pugleasa and I am the owner and head photographer for Less Traveled Photography. Photography has always been a passion of mine. As a kid growing up I would go around taking pictures with a little blue point and shoot Nikon Coolpix. When I was in my Junior year of high school I was able to buy a DSLR and start taking better photographs. My senior year of high school I had the privilege to be the lead photographer for the high school yearbook. That same year I started doing senior sessions. When I started college in Duluth Minnesota I found that I had a huge passion for abandoned places and exploring. When I started exploring different abandoned places I began experimenting more with my style of photography and found my own style that I hope is different from many others. Starting this business wasn't easy, but the hardest part of it all surprisingly was trying to find a name for my business that would reflect how I go about my photography and reflect myself. I had tossed around lots of different names but none of them really stuck until one night I was reading some Robert Frost poems and I came across Frost's famous poem "The road not taken". Upon reading it the name finally came to me. In this poem, if you have not read it, Frost states " Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." So, Less Traveled Photography was born. In my photography I not only try to capture your memories and experiences, I try to do it in a way that is unique and different then that of other photographers. I try to take "the road less traveled by" and make your photos and experiences, noteworthy and memorable.
Thanks for taking the time to look around! Continue to browse and contact me if you are interested in any sessions!
